The Project Management Institute (PMI) has announced that applications for its new Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP) credential will be made available in Q4 2013. The Exam Content for the PfMP is expected to be made available sometime in September 2013.

According to PMI, the PfMP credential recognizes the advanced experience and skill of portfolio managers and demonstrates a proven ability in the coordinated management of one or more portfolios.

A pilot will be running for this certification and interested participants are encouraged to contact PMI for further details. The first opportunity to test for the PfMP will be during this pilot and is expected to be in late Q4 2013.
