PMI has announced that there will be changes to all PMI certification exams and exam preparation materials excluding the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) exam.

The current PMI standard for all exams is the PMBOK Guide – Fourth Edition with an eventual change to the PMBOK Guide – Fifth Edition after August 31, 2013.

Key dates for the examination changes by credential are:

• PMP: Exam updated after July 31, 2013 to reflect the PMBOK Guide – Fifth Edition
• CAPM: Exam updated after July 1, 2013 to reflect the PMBOK Guide – Fifth Edition
• PM-SP: Exam updated after August 31, 2013 to reflect the PMBOK Guide – Fifth Edition
• PMI-RMP: Exam updated after August 31, 2013 to reflect the PMBOK Guide – Fifth Edition
• PgMP: Exam updated after July 31, 2013 to reflect the PMBOK Guide – Fifth Edition
